MEDIA RELATIONS
From both coursework and my time in OU’s Athletics Communications department, I’ve learned the ropes of media relations, specifically in the sports realm — from arranging interviews, to building an award campaign and conducting in-game research.

#K9Unit: Butkus Award Candidate
As a part of my Sports Public Relations course taught by OU Senior Associate A.D. of External Operations Kenny Mossman, I built an entire campaign designed to promote Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray for the 2019 Butkus Award. The biggest project of the course, it includes extensive research, planning and scheduling for a comprehensive, large-scale campaign.
I created all campaign content, graphic design and organization, while source attribution for photos, quotes and other media is listed at the end of the book.

In-game notes
2019 Women’s College World Series
After assisting with stat and game book running at the 2018 WCWS (Oklahoma serves annually as the host institution), I compiled in-game notes for a majority of the 2019 Championship for distribution to press members and media outlets. The role required cross-checking of the NCAA Softball Results and Records book, each team’s game notes and collaborating with each program’s S.I.D., while paying attention to trends and milestones in each game. The notes were distributed within minutes after the completion of the contests.
