My Story

It’s the location where my love of Oklahoma football was sparked. Growing up, Saturdays in the fall were spent with family cheering on the Sooners at Gaylord Family Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Eventually, the University of Oklahoma became my home for four years, and Memorial Stadium became the place where my career in sports began.

Born and raised in Broken Arrow, OK, I attended the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication beginning in 2016. I spent all four years as a student at OU working in the athletic department – 1.5 years as a Production Assistant for SoonerVision and 2.5 years as a Student Assistant in the Athletics Communications department. During my final year in Norman, I served as the primary communications contact for the OU wrestling and men's gymnastics teams. I completed my education in May 2020, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and graduating in my parents’ front yard… Thanks, COVID 😷

In July 2020, I joined Major League Baseball as a seasonal In-Game Social Media Coordinator just as the shortened, 60-game 2020 MLB season was beginning, working directly with the Mariners' social team remotely from Oklahoma. In early 2021, I joined the Mariners full-time as a Social Media Coordinator and made the move to Seattle, where I've been ever since. Entering 2023, I was promoted to my current position, Social Media Manager, where I oversee our social team and day-to-day content across all of our owned-and-operated social media channels. 

Through all of my experiences, I’ve learned just how powerful both sports and digital media can be, and what it means to execute strategic and engaging content.
